SYMPTOMS

If the SCSI miniport driver instructs the Scsiport.sys file to map buffers, the Scsiport.sys file tries to map the buffer that is described by the I/O request packet's MDL. Eventually, the operating system runs out of kernel resources (PTEs) and cannot process the large I/O requests. The following error message appears:
ERROR_NO_SYSTEM_RESOURCES (1450)
This behavior can occur when Microsoft Exchange Server or Microsoft SQL Server is running on Windows 2000.
