SYMPTOMS

When you install updates from the Windows Update site by using the Terminal Server feature of Windows NT Server, the installation fails.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Windows Updates are not available for installation through Terminal Server. Updates appear as available for installation, but they are not designed for Terminal Server.

To work around this behavior, do not use the Windows Update Web site to download and install updates for Terminal Server. To download and install updates for Terminal Server running on Windows NT Server, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
