Users Can Open Web Pages Without the Correct NTFS Permissions

SYMPTOMS

A user may be permitted access to open an .aspx page that the user should not have NTFS file system permissions to read if the following conditions are true:

Impersonation is enabled in the Web.config file.
The impersonated user does not have access to list folder contents on the folder where the .aspx page resides.

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
