On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen a program that is running on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer tries to write data to a volume mount point, your program may stop responding. The following events are logged to the System log: Event message 1 Event Type: Warning
Data: 0000: 00040004 00560002 00000000 80040032 0010: 00000000 c000020c 00000000 00000000 0020: 00000000 00000000 c000020c Event Type: Information CAUSEThis problem occurs when the program writes to a volume mount point that is located on a storage area network (SAN) that is connected by using a Universal Naming Convention (UNC) connection. Note This problem does not occur when the program writes to a volume that is connected by using a drive letter mapping. This problem occurs because data transfers from the client to the server do not progress. Subsequently, Windows disconnects from the volume mount point. Therefore, Windows cannot write to the volume mount point. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft.
