Works: Database Default Value Applies to New Records Only

SUMMARY

If you format a database field in Works to automatically enter a default value, only new records are affected by this change; existing records are not modified.

MORE INFORMATION

To place the default value into a field of all existing records, use the Works Fill Down command.

  1. In List view, go to the first record.
  2. Click the field where you want the default value, and then type the value.
  3. On the Edit menu, click Select Field.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Fill Down.
