SYMPTOMS

When you try to use the Dr. Watson tool to troubleshoot a computer issue, you may receive the following message:
The application or one of its DLLs used an uninitialized function pointer variable or attempted to use a DLL which has already been freed.

Also, you may not receive the .dll file name, and you may not receive a program name, which may lead you to conclude the issue is caused by the only running program, Dr. Watson.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the issue is caused by a program that creates a fault in a system resource. When this occurs, Dr. Watson may not be able to correctly identify the actual program or file that caused the issue.

STATUS

This behavior is by design.
