SYMPTOMS

When you upgrade your Microsoft Windows NT 4.0-based computer to Windows 2000, your Accel Graphics Eclipse or AccelPro video adapter is not detected properly.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because these video adapters do not have a Windows 2000 compatible driver.

MORE INFORMATION

The Accel Graphics Eclipse video adapter uses the Aclps.sys driver. This driver only provides standard display adapter (VGA) support when used in a Windows 2000-based computer. VGA does not support Display Data Channel (DDC), which enables monitor and display detection.

APPLIES TO
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Server
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Advanced Server
  • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Edition
