Fax Notification Icon Is Not Displayed on Taskbar

After you configure the Fax Service in Windows, the Fax Notification icon is not displayed on the Windows taskbar until "fax event" occurs.

To configure the Fax Service to display the Fax Notification icon on the taskbar when you send or receive a fax, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Fax, and then click the Monitor tab.
3. Click to select the Display Icon On Taskbar check box, and then click OK.
4. Close Control Panel.

After you configure the Fax tool to display the Fax Notification icon, the icon is not displayed until a "fax event" occurs.
