This article describes how to update the Works Calendar with the birthdays and anniversaries that are contained in your address book.

When you start the calendar for the first time after you upgrade from an earlier version of Microsoft Works, you may receive the following message:
Hint: You can automatically update the Works Calendar with the birthdays and anniversaries from your address book. On the Edit menu, click Birthdays.
You may not be able to automatically update the Works Calendar from your address book until you convert it to use the latest Works format.

To convert address books from earlier versions of Works, use the Works Address Book converter, or import the address book data into the Works database.

For more information about how to convert or import address book data from previous versions of Works, click Microsoft Works 2000 Help on the Help menu, type import address book information from previous versions of Works into the address book in the Office Assistant or the Answer Wizard, and then click Search to view the topic.

After you convert or import the data into the Works Address Book, click Birthdays on the Edit menu.
