WORKS 6: White Text in Word Processor Template Banner Is Not Printed

SYMPTOMS

When you create a Works Word Processor document using a template that has banners with a dark background and white text, the white text may not be printed.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:
  • You print the document to a Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 4Si printer.
  • The printer is configured to use vector graphics.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, configure the printer to use raster graphics:
  1. Start Works Word Processor.
  2. On the File menu, click Print.
  3. In the Print dialog box, click Properties.
  4. Click the Graphics tab.
  5. Under Graphics Mode, click Use raster graphics, and then click OK.
