After you upgrade from Microsoft Works 99 to Microsoft Works 2000, you may receive the following error message each time you start your computer:
The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'Microsoft Works Calendar Reminders.lnk' refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again.
NOTE: This error message can also occur if you remove Works 99 Calendar and you do not upgrade to Works 2000. CAUSE
This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:
This program does not run correctly on this OS.
RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, delete the Microsoft Works Calendar Reminder shortcut:
NOTE: The shortcut also remains if you remove the Works 99 Calendar but do not upgrade to Works 2000. To delete a shortcut from the Start menu, follow these steps:
