Works Suite 2001: Archived Calendar 1.0 Data Is Not Used by Works 2001 Calendar

SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft Works Suite 2001, the Works Calendar may not find or use the archived Works Calendar data from Works 4.5a.

CAUSE

This behavior can occur if the Works 4.5a Calendar (Calendar 1.0) was installed as a custom installation, and it was not installed in the following default location:
C:\Program Files\MSWorks\Calendar

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, move the Calendar 1.0 archive file, Wkcalcat.dat, to the default location given in the "Cause" section, and then reinstall Works Suite 2001.
