Works 2000: Cannot Start Works Help from the Works Task Launcher

When you attempt to start Microsoft Works 2000 Help from the Works 2000 Task Launcher, Works Help may not start.

NOTE: If you are using Works 2000, you may be able to start Works Help from the Works 2000 Word Processor.

This behavior can occur if insufficient hard disk space is available on your computer.

To resolve this issue, increase the amount of available hard disk space on your computer:

1. Right-click the Recycle Bin icon on the desktop, and then click Empty Recycle Bin. If you are prompted to confirm the file deletion, click Yes.
2. Back up and then remove any files on the hard disk that you do not use frequently.
   
   For information about how to back up files, click Start, and then click Help.
   
   On the Index tab, type backing, and then double-click the Backing up files or Backing up files, folders topic.
3. Delete any unnecessary files on the hard disk.
   
   For information about how to delete files, click Start, and then click Help. On the Index tab, type deleting, and then double-click the Deleting files or folders or Deleting files, folders topic.
4. Uninstall any unnecessary programs on the hard disk:
   1. Click Start, point to Settings and then click Control Panel.
   2. Double-click the Add/Remove Programs.
   3. Click the Install/Uninstall tab.
   4. Click the program that you want to uninstall, and then click Add/Remove.
   5. When you are prompted to confirm that you want to uninstall the program, click Yes.
   6. Follow the instructions on the screen to uninstall the program.
