Works Suite 2000: Works Word Processor Is Not in Task Launcher

SYMPTOMS

When you install Microsoft Works Suite 2000, the Works Word Processor is not listed in the Works 2000 Task Launcher or on the Start menu.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Microsoft Word 2000 is the only word processor that is installed with Works Suite 2000.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, run Works Suite 2000 Setup and install Word 2000.

To install Word 2000 after Works Suite 2000 has been installed:

Insert the Works Suite 2000 Setup CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
If the Setup program starts automatically, proceed to the next step. If the Setup program does not start automatically, click Start, click Run, type the following line in the Open box, and then click OK
cd-rom:/setup.exe
where cd-rom is the drive letter of the CD-ROM drive.
When the Works Suite 2000 Setup Welcome dialog box appears, click Add.
Click to select the Microsoft Word check box, and then click Install.
Follow the instructions on the screen to finish the installation of Word 2000.
