When you use Microsoft Word 2000 as your e-mail editor to reply to a specific e-mail message, Outlook 2000 stops responding.

This problem occurs if the following are true:

WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, turn off Word as your e-mail editor and reply to the message with the built-in Outlook editor.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Office 2000 Service Pack 2. MORE INFORMATION
