Article ID: 255868 - Last Review: January 27, 2007 - Revision: 1.1 OL97: How to Retain an Attached File in a ReplyThis article was previously published under Q255868 SUMMARY
This article describes how to automatically retain attachments when you reply to messages that contain attached files.
MORE INFORMATION
By default, Outlook does not include attachments when you reply to a message. This keeps the size of replies to a minimum. If you want to keep the attachment information in your reply, you can set Outlook to attach the original message. The attached, original message will also include any original attached files. This results in nested attachments; your reply contains an attached message which, in turn, contains the attached file.
