Dial Up Networking

Dial-Up Networking does not display as an icon in My Computer in Windows Millennium Edition. If the folder view for My Computer is set to Web View (On the Tools menu, click Folder Options), you can view a "link" on the left hand side of the screen that can open the Dial Up Networking folder.

Dial-Up Networking can be accessed using any of the following methods:

Double-click Control Panel in My Computer and click on the Dial-Up Networking icon.

Click Start, Settings, and Dial Up Networking.

Click Start, Programs, Accessories, Communications, and Dial-Up Networking.

Open Windows Explorer by clicking Start, Programs, Accessories, Windows Explorer. Click the plus sign (+) sign next to My Computer, and then the plus sign (+) sign next to Control Panel. You can view an icon for Dial Up Networking.

Scheduled Tasks

Scheduled Tasks does not display as an icon in My Computer in Windows Millennium Edition. It does not display in the System Tray as it did in Windows 98. You can open the Scheduled Tasks using the following methods:

Double-click Control Panel in My Computer and click on the Scheduled Tasks icon.

Click Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and Scheduled Tasks.

Open Windows Explorer by clicking Start, Programs, Accessories, and then Windows Explorer. Click the plus sign (+) sign next to My Computer, and then the plus sign (+) sign next to Control Panel. You should see an icon for Scheduled Tasks.

Printers Folder

The Printers Folder does not display as an icon in My Computer in Windows Millennium Edition. You can access the Printers Folder through the following means:

Click Start, Settings, and Printers.

Double-click Control Panel in My Computer. You should see a Printers icon.

Open Windows Explorer by clicking Start, Programs, Accessories, and then Windows Explorer. Click the plus sign (+) sign next to My Computer, and then the plus sign (+) sign next to Control Panel. You should see an icon for Printers.
