SYMPTOMS

When you format a Microsoft Works 2000 Spreadsheet column as Time, and you enter the time in a European format (H,M,S), every time entry is converted to 12:00 AM in that column. For example, 2,53 becomes 12:00 AM. When you format a Spreadsheet column as General, and you enter the time in a European format, the comma is dropped.

CAUSE

This issue may occur because you have not changed the Windows regional settings for time.

RESOLUTION

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. On the Windows taskbar, click Start.
  2. Point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Click Regional Settings (Regional Options in Windows 2000).

  5. In the Time separator box, type a comma, and then click OK.
