Article ID: 265943 - Last Review: January 27, 2007 - Revision: 2.1 Works 6: Negative Values Are Not Displayed on Chart's Vertical AxisThis article was previously published under Q265943 SYMPTOMS
When you create a scatter chart with Microsoft Works Spreadsheet, and you then apply the Use logarithmic scale setting to the vertical axis, all data on the vertical axis may appear positive (or greater than zero).
CAUSE
This behavior can occur because charts that cross the zero boundary (and therefore contain both positive and negative values) cannot be plotted correctly on a logarithmic scale.
RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, do not use the logarithmic scale if your chart is composed of data that contains both negative and positive values.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. | Article Translations
