Works 6: Format Gallery Dialog Box Is Displayed at the Center of the Screen

When you open the Format Gallery in the Microsoft Works 6 Word Processor or Microsoft Word 2000, the Format Gallery dialog box may be displayed in the center of the screen instead of the location that you expect.

This behavior can occur if both of the following conditions are true:

• An ATI video adapter is installed in your computer.
• The ATI software is configured to center dialog boxes.

To resolve this issue, configure the ATI software to not center dialog boxes:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Display.
3. Click the Settings tab.
4. Click Advanced.
5. Click the ATI Displays tab.
6. Under Options, click to clear the Center dialog boxes check box.
7. Click OK, and then OK again.

By default, the Format Gallery dialog box is displayed at the right side of the document. If you move the dialog box, and then save and close the document, the position of the Format Gallery dialog box is saved for that document.
