Works 6: You Cannot Add a Legend/Series Label to Bar Charts

When you open a Microsoft Works Spreadsheet document from a version of Works earlier than Works 2000, and then you open a bar chart that was created in the older version of Works Spreadsheet, the chart legend may be missing.

The Legend/Series Labels command is not available on the Edit menu.

This behavior can occur with some one-series bar charts from earlier versions of Works Spreadsheet.

A one-series chart is a chart that contains data points from only one row or column of data.

To work around this issue, re-create the spreadsheet and save it as a Works 6 spreadsheet. All of the chart commands now work as expected.
