Works 6: Menus in the Imaging Dialog Box Do Not Work

If you insert an Image Document object into a Microsoft Works Word Processor document, and then you click Display As Icon, the menus in the Imaging dialog box appear, but none of the menus work as expected.

The Image Document icon appears in the Works Word Processor document. When you double-click the Image Document icon, the Imaging dialog box appears, but it is nonfunctional.

This behavior occurs because the Imaging dialog box briefly appears and is then minimized, and the screen is not refreshed. A visible artifact of the Imaging dialog box remains but it is nonfunctional.

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

1. Right-click the Imaging-Image Document button on the Microsoft Windows taskbar.
2. On the shortcut menu, click Close.
3. Double-click the Image Document icon on the Works Word Processor document.
   
   The Imaging dialog box appears and is fully functional.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Works 6.
