Works 6: How to Drag Discontinuous Items from Works Portfolio

This article describes two methods to drag a selection of items from Microsoft Works Portfolio to other programs when the selected items are not part of a continuous list.

Method 1

CAUTION: If you use this method, all data on the Clipboard is replaced.

1. Press and hold down the CTRL key while you select all of the items that you want to move.
2. Press CTRL+X.
3. Switch to the program that you want to move the items to.
4. Press CTRL+V.

Method 2

1. Press and hold down CTRL while you select all of the items that you want to move.
2. Drag the items to the end of the list.
3. Click the first item in the list that you want to move.
4. Press and hold down the SHIFT key, and then click the last item in the list that you want to move.
5. While you hold down SHIFT, drag these items to the program that you want to move them to.
