SYMPTOMS

When you insert a clip art image into a Microsoft Works database, and you then resize the image, the new image size is not saved when you save the database.

When you start Works Database and then open the database that contains the image, the image size reverts to its original size; however, the box containing the image remains the same size, and part of the image appears to be missing.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because Works Database does not save the image size when it saves the database.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, follow these steps:
  1. On the View menu, click Form Design.
  2. Select the image that you inserted.
  3. On the Edit menu, click Cut.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Paste Special.
  5. In the As box, click Picture, and then click OK.
  6. Resize the image to the size that you want.

The image now remains the correct size whenever you open this database in Works Database.
