When you enable direct memory access (DMA) for the integrated drive electronics (IDE) controller on an IBM ThinkPad docking station and you have an Iomega 250 megabyte (MB) Zip drive in the docking station, your computer may stop responding (hang) during the startup process.
CAUSE
This problem occurs because there is a there is a problem with the Atapt.sys driver file.
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the
