When do a mail merge in Microsoft Word and you use a Microsoft Outlook Personal Address Book (PAB) as the data source, duplicate entries from your Contacts list are displayed rather than items in the PAB.

  1. Start Outlook.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Address Book.
  3. In the Address Book dialog box, click Options on the Tools menu.
  4. Change "Keep personal addresses in" to "Personal Address Book.
  5. Under Keep personal addresses in, click Personal Address Book.
