Error Message if Your System Registry or System Files Have Been Damaged

SYMPTOMS

When you start your computer, or after you have installed a new program or new hardware, or attempt to upgrade your Windows 98-based computer to Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows Millennium Edition (Me), you may receive an error message that is similar to either of the following error messages:
  • Invalid VxD dynamic link call from VWIN32(01)
  • Fatal exception 0E has occurred at variable number in VXD VWIN32(01)

CAUSE

This issue can occur if your system registry has been damaged, or your system files have been damaged.
