This article was previously published under Q330259 On This PageSYMPTOMSYou may experience one or more of the following symptoms
intermittently when you use a third-party program that loads
performance-monitoring extension dynamic link library (DLL) files on your

component (Pdh.dll) generates "Global" calls to the RegQueryValueExW function that causes all performance counters to be loaded, even
though only specific objects may be requested by the running program. This
problem may cause one or more of the symptoms if multiple extension DLL files
that are incompatible or problematic are loaded at the same time. RESOLUTIONWindows 2000Service Pack InformationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Windows 2000.
