Works: Protect Data Disables Headers & Footers in Spreadsheet

If the Protect Data option is selected in the Works Spreadsheet module, the Headers & Footers option is unavailable (dimmed).

In Works 3.0 for Windows or Works 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5a for Windows 95, if the Protect Data option is enabled in the Database form view or list view, the Headers & Footers option is unavailable. This does not occur in Works 2.0 for Windows.

WORKAROUND

A workaround is to turn Protect Data off while editing the headers and footers of a Works spreadsheet or a Works 3.0 or Works for Windows 95 database.

Turning off Protect Data in the Spreadsheet or Database

In Works 3.0, 4.0, 4.5, and 4.5a, do the following:

1. On the Format menu, click Protection.
2. Click the Protect Data box.

In Works 2.0, choose Protect Data from the Options menu to clear the selection.
