Description of the Microsoft Windows RegistryOn This PageSYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Windows XP, you cannot create new forms that
specify printing characteristics, such as paper size and printer area, if you
do not have administrative credentials. You see this problem when the
Save Form button appears dimmed after you click Create
a new form in Print Server Properties. (To configure
printer settings, click Printer and Faxes in Control Panel.)
If you have your own printer, but you do not have administrative credentials,
you must ask an administrator whenever you want to use special
paper. RESOLUTIONService pack informationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Microsoft Windows XP. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:322389
