On This PageSYMPTOMSIn Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, if you configure a custom MAPI program to create restrictions on public folder content, you may experience inconsistent results when you perform a search in that public folder. For example, consider the following scenario: You configure a custom MAPI program to configure the following restriction on the content of a public folder: Note The Query Processor algorithm is used if you sort the public folder content on the CustomNamedProperty in Outlook. CAUSEThis problem occurs because Exchange 2000 does not use the per-user read information correctly in the scenario where a Query Processor search is performed. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article.
