You reply to a message that you receive through an X.400 connector in a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 organization. When you do this, e-mail addresses in the From and Cc fields may incorrectly resolve to Quest Exchange Migration Wizard custom recipients.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if all the following conditions are true:
  • The Exchange Server 2003 organization uses the Quest Exchange Migration Wizard.
  • The organization uses an X.400 connector between a Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 site and an Exchange Server 2003 site.
  • The target mailbox of the message is on a server that is running Exchange Server 2003.

RESOLUTION

Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then press ENTER.
  2. Locate and then right-click the following registry subkey:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeMTA\Parameters\
