You cannot add a digital ID to an outgoing message in Outlook Web Access

When you try to add a digital ID to an outgoing message in Microsoft Outlook Web Access by using a smart card device, you cannot add the digital ID. However, when you use Microsoft Outlook, you can successfully add a digital ID by using the same smart card device.

Note A digital ID is also known as a certificate.

By default, Outlook Web Access queries the following path for the smart card information: However, in some cases, the smart card information is contained in the following path:In this situation, Outlook Web Access cannot locate some of the smart-card-related functions because Outlook Web Access does not query the full path.
