Recurring events are incorrectly displayed as all-day events in the Outlook 2003 calendar

SYMPTOMS

When you change the recurrence of an event from an all-day event to an event that is not an all-day event, the updated event does not display the blue accepted marker or the Busy marker in the Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 calendar. Instead, the event remains white as if the event were still an all-day event.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, edit the event to set the event to Busy instead of Free. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the event in the calendar, and then click Open.
  2. Click either Open this occurrence or Open the series, and then click OK.
  3. In the Show time as list, click Busy.
  4. On the File, menu click Save.

STATUS
