You may have to relocate the content directory for Microsoft SoftGrid because of disk space limitations or because of other reasons. MORE INFORMATION The default path of the content directory is %ProgramFiles%\Softricity\SoftGrid Server\content. The path of the content directory is configured in the following two locations:
Note The following steps require the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server service to be stopped and then started. This will cause the SoftGrid client to lose the connection to the server. Therefore, SoftGrid-enabled applications will exit or will enter Minimal Disconnected Operation. We recommend that you close all client sessions before you follow these steps. Step 1: Configure the registryTo configure the path of the content directory, follow these steps
Step 2: Configure the security permissions and the share permissionsBy default, the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server service logon account is the Local System (SYSTEM) account. This account requires read security permissions to the content directory.To determine the account, follow these steps:
Note If Log on as is configured for Local System account, and the content directory is local to the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server, use the Local System (SYSTEM) account when you grant permissions. If the content directory is a UNC path, use the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server local computer account when you grant permissions.
Step 3: Relocate the data in the content directoryCopy the contents of the original content directory to the relocated content directory.Step 4: Restart the SoftGrid Virtual Application Server serviceThe SoftGrid Virtual Application Server service must be stopped and then restarted for the changes to take affect. To do this, follow these steps:
