STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.

MORE INFORMATION

If a LUN that you are creating is located on an iSCSI subsystem, and you want to use the Create LUN Wizard to assign that LUN to an iSCSI target, you must first configure the targets in your storage area network (SAN). Targets are created to manage the connections between the iSCSI storage subsystems in your SAN and the servers that must access these subsystems. You assign LUNs to a target, and all servers that require access to the LUNs must connect to the target to which the LUNs are assigned.
