Description of the Outlook 2003 hotfix package (Olkintl.msp, Outlook.msp): April 28, 2009
This hotfix introduces a new method in the way that Outlook internally locates folders. In a scenario in which this hotfix has not been applied, an outdated copy of cached data is used to locate folders. This outdated data prevents the folder from being successfully located. After you apply this hotfix, a slightly different method is used to locate the folder. The new method considers the possibility that the location data is outdated. The new method in locating folders is not limited to the meeting acceptance case. Therefore, it may be helpful in other scenarios in which you receive the folder error message. The meeting acceptance scenario is just the most common scenario in which Outlook is required to locate a folder and the folder data is outdated.Additionally, the new method will change the behavior of Outlook in the following two scenarios:
