SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install the Japanese version of the System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) client.
  • You open Configuration Manager in Control Panel.
  • You click the Configurations tab and then click the View Report menu to view the Compliance Evaluation report.
In this scenario, the report is displayed in English instead of in Japanese.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because the DCMStrings.xml file is not localized correctly on the Japanese version of the System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 client.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install this hotfix on a System Center Configuration Manager 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2) site server. Then, deploy this hotfix to all clients that have the Japanese version of the System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2 client installed.

The dates and the times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time tool in Control Panel.
