This article describes where you can find the Readme files that are included in Microsoft Office Project 2007, in Microsoft Office Project 2003, in Microsoft Office Project Server 2007, and in Microsoft Office Project Server 2003.

Readme files are supplemental files that contain important information about how to install and configure Project and Project Server. The Readme files are located on the Microsoft Office Project CD-ROM and on the Microsoft Office Project Server CD-ROM. The Readme files are also located on the hard disk drive where Project is installed.

To view a list of the Readme files, follow these steps:
  1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, and then click Microsoft Office Project.
  2. On the Help menu, click Microsoft Project Help or Microsoft Office Project Help.

    The Microsoft Project Help window appears.
  3. In the Search for box, type readme, and then press ENTER or click Search to start the search.
  4. Click the Readme Files included with Project link or the Where can I find Readme or Known issues list link.
A list of the Readme files that are included with Project and with Project Server and a description of the files and their location appear in the Microsoft Project Help window.
