FIX: You receive a "Server hosting LU <LogicalUnitName> not active" error message when you start a Host Integration Server 2006 .NET Framework application

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You start a Microsoft Host Integration Server 2006 .NET Framework application. The application accesses an auto-generated Web service. The Web service calls a Customer Information Control System (CICS) transaction. In this scenario, you receive an error message that resembles the following error message:
Server hosting LU <LogicalUnitName> not active
Note You receive this error message even if the local Logical Unit (LU) is active.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Host Integration Server 2006 service pack that contains this hotfix.
