SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You use per-instance configuration for a send pipeline in a two-way receive port on a server that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006. In this scenario, the configuration setting may appear correctly in the BizTalk Administration Console. However, the configuration setting does not affect message processing on the server.

Note The configuration setting for the same send pipeline works as expected in a two-way send port on the server.

RESOLUTION

Warning You cannot roll back this hotfix in the BizTalk Server environment. Therefore, make sure that you fully test this hotfix in a test environment before you apply this hotfix in a production environment. Do not try to use the Add or Remove Programs item in Control Panel to remove this hotfix. If you try to do this, the database changes are not rolled back, and the BizTalk Server environment is left in an inconsistent state.

Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing.
