SYMPTOMS

When you access a file that is in a Network File System (NFS) shared folder on a Windows Server 2003 R2-based computer that has Client for NFS installed, the system stops responding. Eventually, you may also receive the following Stop error message:
STOP 0x00000027 (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4)
RDR_FILE_SYSTEM
This problem occurs when the following conditions are true:
  • Windows Server 2003 R2 runs on a computer that has more than one CPU.
  • Multiple processes access the file on the NFS shared folder at the same time. The NFS shared folder is accessed through a symbolic link.
  • The NFS shared folder is hosted on a HP-UX computer.

RESOLUTION

Hotfix information
