SYMPTOMS

In SQL Server 2005, you configure database mirroring on a database. You use a debug tool to debug the SQL Server service process. You capture a dump file, or you wait for a time that is longer than the maximum time that the instance waits to receive a PING message. Then, you resume the SQL Server service process. When you do this, the principal server may be in a disconnected state. You must restart the SQL Server service on the principal server.
