Software updates cannot be deployed if the software update catalogs that are imported by System Center Updates Publisher 3.0 contain a /qn switch in the command lineArticle ID: 944693 - View products that this article applies to. On This PageSYMPTOMSConsider the following scenario:
RESOLUTIONAfter you apply this hotfix, SCUP will automatically remove the /qn switch or the -qn switch from the command line for MSI updates and for MSP updates during the import process. Then, SCUP and WSUS will be able to deploy MSI updates and MSP updates. After you apply this hotfix, you must republish your updates in WSUS. Hotfix informationA supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem.If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article. Note Removal of this hotfix is not supported. To remove the hotfix, you have to uninstall the System Center Update Publisher, and then you have to reinstall the product.
