In a Windows Server 2003-based cluster, the Resource Monitor process may crash when the following conditions are true:
This problem may occur if the Resource Monitor does not serialize calls that are made to a cluster resource. When the Resource Monitor schedules multiple requests at the same time to the Symantec Resource DLL (Vxres.dll), the Symantec Resource DLL may allocate a buffer space that is too small. Therefore, the Resource Monitor process crashes.
To resolve this problem, contact Symantec for a resolution.
