FIX: You cannot delete an existing birth date or wedding-anniversary date when you develop a Pocket Outlook Object Model application in Windows Embedded CE 6.0

When you develop a Pocket Outlook Object Model (POOM) application in Windows Embedded CE 6.0, you cannot delete an existing birth date or wedding-anniversary date for a contact by using any of the methods in the IContact interface.

Notes

• You can use the IContact::put_Birthday method to set the birth date for a contact.
• You can use the IContact::put_Anniversary method to set the wedding-anniversary date for a contact.

A supported software update is now available from Microsoft as Windows CE 6.0 Platform Builder Monthly Update (June 2008). Prerequisites

This update is supported only if all previously issued updates for this product have also been installed.

Restart requirement

After you install this software update, you must perform a clean build of the whole platform. To do this, use one of the following methods:

• On the Build menu, click Clean, and then click Build Platform.
• On the Build menu, click Rebuild Platform.

You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this software update.

Post-installation instructions

To resolve this problem, use DATA_NONE as the parameter when you call the IContact::put_Birthday method or the IContact::put_Anniversary method.
