On a target device, you run a Windows Embedded CE 6.0 image that
includes the Windows Networking API/Redirector (SMB/CIFS) component.
You connect the device to a file share that is
located on a Windows XP-based
While an application on the device is writing to a file on the file share, you change the time zone setting on the Windows XP-based computer.
The application closes the file.
In this scenario, the time stamp for the Modified property of the file matches the system time on the device. However, you expect the time stamp for the Modified property to match the system time on the Windows XP-based computer.
Note This problem does not occur if you change the time zone setting
on the Windows Embedded CE 6.0-based device.
This problem occurs because of a code defect. When you change the local time zone setting, the delta value to the time zone of the server is not changed. The delta value is stored when the Server Message Block (SMB) session is established.
