INTRODUCTION

Windows Small Business Server 2008 Update Rollup 1 is now available. This rollup package addresses the following issues in Windows Small Business Server 2008.

Issue 1

The Security tab in the Windows Small Business Server 2008 Console incorrectly reports the spyware and malware status of Windows Vista Service Pack 1-based clients that are joined to a domain. Specifically, some security applications are reported as incompatible in the antivirus and malware status that is reported.

Issue 2

The Internet Address Management Wizard exits unexpectedly when you register a domain name. This issue occurs when you select GoDaddy.com as the provider, and then you click Register Now.

Restart requirement

You may have to restart the computer after you apply this update. To avoid restarting the computer, close all applications before you install this update including the SBS Console.

Manual installation guide

If you decide to install this update package manually instead of using Windows SBS Update Services, Microsoft Update, WSUS, or Automatic Update, follow these steps:
  1. Open an administrative command prompt by selecting Run as Administrator.
  2. Run the following command at the command prompt:
    msiexec /update SBS2008-KB958715-x64-ENU.msp

The English version of this hotfix has the file attributes (or later file attributes) that are listed in the following table. The dates and times for these files are listed in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). When you view the file information, it is converted to local time. To find the difference between UTC and local time, use the Time Zone tab in the Date and Time item in Control Panel.
