This article describes how you can create shortcut icons to
Microsoft Money on the Microsoft Windows desktop and the
Start
menu.

These steps can be used with any version of Money to place
shortcut icons on the Windows desktop or the
Start menu.
Note Because there are several versions of Windows, the following
steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your Help for your
vesion of Windows to complete these steps.

Create Shortcut on the Windows Desktop
To create a shortcut on the Windows desktop for one of the
products listed in the "Applies to" section of this article, follow these
steps:
| 1. | Click Start, and then click
Search. |
| 2. | Click Files or Folders, and then click
All files and folders. |
| 3. | In the All or part of the file name: box,
type msmoney.exe. |
| 4. | In the Look in box, click My
Computer. |
| 5. | Click Search. |
| 6. | In the list of found files, right-click the
Msmoney.exe file, point to Send To, and then
click Desktop (create shortcut). |
| 7. | Close all the Windows, you should now see Microsoft Money
shortcut on your desktop. |

Create a Shortcut to Money on the Start Menu
To create a shortcut to Microsoft Money on the
Start menu, follow these steps:
| 1. | Follow steps 1 through 7 in the previous
procedure. |
| 2. | Right-click the Money shortcut on the
desktop, and then click Copy. |
| 3. | Right-click the Start button, and then
click Open. |
| 4. | Right-click the Programs folder, and then
click Paste. |
