Exchange sends the internal OOF instead of the external OOF when you receive a message from an outside organization in Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 4.0 and in Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 4.5

Prerequisites
To apply this update, you must have Hosted Messaging and Collaboration version 4.0 installed. Additionally, you must be a member of the Domain Admins group.
Note The HMC Deployment Tool must be installed on the first Microsoft Provisioning Server (MPS) Engine server.
Restart requirement
You do not have to restart the computer after you apply this update rollup. However, you have to restart some services during the installation.

Installation information
To install this update rollup, follow these steps:
Disable and shut down the provisioning engine on all MPS engine servers (MPS0n). To do this, follow these steps:
On the MPS Engine servers, start Component Services.
Expand Component Services, expand Computers, and then expand My Computer.
Click COM+ Applications.
Right-click Provisioning Engine, and then click Disable.
Right-click Provisioning Engine, and then click Shut Down.
Log on to the first MPS server (MPS01) as a member of the Domain Admins group.
On the MPS01 server, start the Deployment Tool to uninstall the following old components.
Expand Core Platform.
Expand Core MPF Install, right-click Managed Helpers, and then click Uninstall.
Expand MPF Core Namespaces, right-click the following components, and then click Uninstall:

Run the UpdateMobilePolicy.msi file on any server on the Platform, while logged on as a Domain Administrator. Accept all the default settings. Locate the Program Files\Microsoft Hosting\Provisioning\UpdateMobilePolicy\UpdateMobilePolicies.exe file, and run it as below:
UpdateMobilePolicies /log <filename>
Note<filename> is the name of a file to capture any events logged by the utility.
Log on to DNS01 by using a domain administrator account.
Copy the DNSClient.msi file from the update package and run it two times. This action removes the previously installed version of the DNS Client and installs a new version. To install the DNSClient.msi component, follow the instructions in the "Deploy the MPS DNS Client" section of the HMC 4.0 deployment guide. For more information about how to deploy the MPS DNS Client, visit the following Microsoft TechNet website:
Configure the DNS Web Client. To do this, follow these steps:
In Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, right-click DNSProvider, select Properties, and then select Directory Security.
Under Authentication and Access Control, click Edit.
Set the default domain value for the basic authentication setting to '\' (backslash). Click OK.
Select Require security channel (SSL).
Save the configuration changes, and close IIS Manager.
Restart IIS.
Execute the file KB939216.msi on each MPS engine server (MPS0x).
Execute the file PlanManagerDBConcurrencyRollup1.msi on MPS01.
Update the HMOABUpdate program by running Hmoabupdate.msi to uninstall the program, and then follow the steps from DWHE.106 to DWHE.112 in Install the OAB Update Batch Application
On all front-end SharePoint servers (COLLAB0n), uninstall the old version of the WindowsSharePointServicesWebService.msi file. To do this, follow these steps:
Copy the new version of the WindowsSharePointServicesWebService.msi file from MPS01 to COLLAB0n.
Run the new version of the WindowsSharePointServicesWebService.msi file.
Restart IIS on all SharePoint servers.
